DevOps Software Engineer & Scrum Master - ING (Bucharest) 18th Sept 2017 - present • Working on Calypso Back Office application using Java and other technologies; while continuing to enhance business and economics acumens; Working on FX&MM aspects, with hedging, and collater-al flavours. Now focussing on cash & liquidity management aspects. • Worked with Java touching several aspects of a trade’s lifecycle, various workflows and creating re-ports. Involved in the entire development lifecycle, from business requirements gathering, to coding, testing, making sure it is production ready, and intraday and on-call production support on a rotational basis. • Agile outreach with the local and global teams (e.g: Amsterdam, Brussels, NY, Singapore offices) having become the Scrum Master of the squad. • Interested in technology innovation projects within the bank; Winner of the FMBT Hackathon 2017 and Risk&Automate Hackathon 2018. Technology Summer Analyst, FXLM - Citi (London) 20th June – 26th August 2016 • Improved business and technology awareness, as part of the Electronic Execution team, while starting from scratch an e-Trading health monitoring tool. Project meant for Technology Governance goals for the year. Used low latency and scalable code in Java, which was then tested with high code coverage. • Booked on own account shadowing sessions with various employees within the team (developers, senior developers and technical lead), and within the organisation (quants and traders) - which gave a better visibility and understanding into the different sides of the FX business. • Local and global outreach within the team, while working on an Agile Scrum basis. Technology Summer Analyst, CTS IT – Nomura (London) 22nd June – 29th August 2015 • Further improved technical skills while working, as part of the CTS IT Reference Data development team, on the initial stages of a proof of concept concerning historical data storage. It was implemented in Java, Maven, Apache Camel and MarkLogic. • Analysed on own instinct alternative approaches in order to achieve considerable performance im-provements. Performed low latency testing on data insertion and processing into the application. • Active contributor within team meetings: daily scrums, planning, reviews and retrospectives. • On own initiative shadowed employees within the team and across business units (CTS Execution/ Clearance/Settlements and Global Markets developers, research), thus gaining a broader prospective about the business, the technology systems used and how data flows within these.
