Data Governance Senior Engineer
Location: Dublin

The client provides solutions supporting organisations in the areas of Data Governance, Data Quality, Metadata Management, Enterprise Architecture Management and IT Portfolio Management.
Delivering the companies’ tools making a direct contribution to the products main code base and direction. The key technologies are RDF, OWL, SPARQL and Graph Database TripleStore.
• Work with a team on enterprise-wide tool rollout for metadata, taxonomy, and ontology management.
• Develop code to facilitate a structured and timely delivery of projects in accordance with the clients delivery model process.
• Proven software development in Python or equivalent programming language
• Experience in data transformation and manipulation (ETL)
• Experience working with data in XML, JSON, CSV, RDF
• Knowledge of XSLT & other XML technologies
• Experience using Big Data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, etc.
• Working knowledge of linked data & semantic web technologies including OWL, SPARQL and Graph Database TripleStore
• Strong written and verbal communications
API design and development
• Big Data and/or Open Data experience
• Experience with Agile software development methods
• Familiarity with build and Continuous Integration tools
• Competency in Github, Subversion, or similar source control and dependency management
• Expert Python skills
• Relational and NoSQL database systems
• Behaviour-driven development and/or test-driven development
