Location: Dublin

Company Description
The client is re-engineering its industry-leading metadata repository to use a triple store/graph database semantic platform and a modern user interface framework. Following that, it will build a set of products and an ecosystem on the platform. This is a once-in-a-career opportunity to lead a ground-breaking project.

 


Manage a small development team (approx. 5 people) to take products from inception through to delivery. This will require liaison with:
- CTO (US)
- Validation team (India)
- Documentation team (Ireland/UK)
- Marketing (UK and US)
- Universities (Ireland)

What skills are needed?

Essential attributes:
- Must have led the development team of a successful software product
- Capable of keeping a team on track and managing technical specialists
- Fluent software architect with excellent communication
- Adapt at learning, assessing and exploiting new technologies
- Experienced with modern development methods (e.g. Scrum)
- Experienced with modern development tools (e.g. git, Maven, JUnit)
The following technical knowledge is desirable but not essential: of these the more the merrier:
- Modelling and UML
- Information management and data governance
- Semantic web, OWL, SPARQL, Linked Data
- Triple store/graph database
- Browser-based user interfaces based on Javascript and associated libraries
- REST API design
- Java/Scala/Clojure
