Oracle Developer

Operating successfully in Cork city for the last 17 years, DSI employ a wide range of technologies including Mobile (iOS, Android, Windows), Java SE/Java EE (WebLogic, WebSphere, Spring, Akka, Hibernate, GWT, etc.), Microsoft .NET (ASP.NET, C#, etc.), JavaScript (AngularJS, JQuery, dojo, etc.), various database management systems (MongoDB, Oracle, SQL Server, MySql, etc.). DSI provide consultancy and leading edge software solutions for a wide variety of US, EU and UK based clients in the insurance, healthcare, retail and public sector markets.

DSI are seeking an experienced Oracle developer for a 6 month contract position at our development office in Cork. This will be a technically challenging position, working on a major n-tier enterprise application to a tight deadline. The roles will require constant interaction with other developers in the team, the SCM function, and project management to develop a robust, scalable, and performant system. The successful candidate for this role will have a minimum of 5+ years commercial experience in Oracle technologies.

Responsibilities:

·         Requirements analysis & Application Design

·         Providing accurate estimates and timings to project managers

·         Delivery of application developments using standard Oracle development methodologies

·         Mentoring other developers within a project team

·         Ensuring all QA procedures are satisfied in terms of process and documentation

·         Bug Fixing and Enhancement Implementation

·         Communication of designs to management and developers
